About Operation Unity: Community-based Harm Reduction Services

For many, harm reduction can be seen as something different or less than recovery. For us, we believe harm reduction is both a pathway and program of recovery. As Philadelphia deals with an increasingly detrimental overdose mortality crisis, our staff are dedicated to saving lives through naloxone distribution, drug checking supplies, overdose prevention training, passing out safer substance use kits (gauze, sterile wipes, first aid ointment), providing wound care services and supplies, and conducting community outreach throughout the city.
